And this year, we're doing things a little differently!

Two bulls bucking out at the SAME TIME. Two riders going head-to-head. One arena.
For the first time in Rockhampton, the Great Western Hotel presents BATTLE OF THE BULLS – an exciting new bull riding format that takes the action to a whole new level!
Forget watching one bull and one rider at a time. This New Year's Eve, TWO BULLS AND TWO RIDERS will buck out into the arena SIMULTANEOUSLY, competing side by side in an adrenaline-fuelled showdown!
It's not just rider versus rider. The bulls are competing too!
Featuring Junior and Open riders battling for prizemoney, plus bulls competing in teams for their own share of the prize pool, this is a competition where both the cowboys and the bulls have something to prove. Two bulls. Two riders. Two rides happening at once. Who will come out on top?
With double the action unfolding in the arena, every showdown promises an incredible display of skill, power and determination as riders battle to stay on and bulls fight to claim the honours. And that's just part of the action!
The rodeo entertainment kicks off from 5PM SHARP, with a huge lineup including:
